Stereo source in spat5

Hello T.
I am trying to control width of a stereo source in Spat5. I managed to create a stereo source with /stereo/number 1 and then control the width with “/stereo/1/width $1” message (Thanks to Augustin), but I don’t see this stereo source in spatoper tab (up left). I do see it on the X/Y view of the source…

Strange.
I found an old message (feb. 2021)on this forum where you explained that “the angular width of this pair is controlled by the “early width” parameter of spat5.oper.” Is it still the solution to control stereo source width ? Thanks
David

Hello David,

Indeed. Sorry for the confusion:
stereo sources are currently not depicted visually in spat5.oper.
I mean, they are depicted as conventional mono point sources.
The width of the stereo pair is indeed controlled by the early width parameter – and the width of the stereo pair is not depicted visually.

The stereo element you have added in the viewer panel (right hand side) has currently no effect.

I will try to make things clearer in future versions.
All the best,
T.
