Binaural attenuation to zero

I am posting this as I have not found anything relating to binaural attenuation.

I wish to use elliptical paths to mix up to 8 tracks into a binaural space i.e. nearer the head the louder the track and if, far enough away, then attenuated to zero.

This post Dynamic attenuation for a source to silence when moving out of the speakerfield suggests dynamically adjusting the source volume with distance.

So I am using spat5.distance to get the aed relating to source 1. I can see the values by double clicking on the distance object. I have tried to use “spat5.osc.route /source/1/dist/$1” to extract the “d” value but it is not working. What am I doing wrong?

You need to make sure the data is in aed format if you want to extract the “d” value.
