Yaw not saved in preset nor snapshot

Hi all,
am I wrong or the Yaw parameter is not memorized in the Spat5 preset and snapshot system?
The doc tells that a preset (or a snapshot) stores the “state” of the spat5 objects, but this useful parameter is missing…
THanks

Hi Lorenzo,

Well…
It is stored under “orientation” which represents the listener/source orientation as a quaternion (so “equivalent” to yaw, pitch, and roll angles).
However, it seems like it is incorrectly recalled; which is a bug. So sorry about that. Will try to fix it soon.

Best,
T.

Thanks, Thibault,
Yes, with snapshot or preset the parameter seems to be ignored.
I also saw that Yaw is considered a high-level parameter and it is not dumped in a spat5.osc.var object.

Same remark : “yaw” is not dumped. But “orientation” is. From which you can derive yaw (if you want)
See attached patcher.

The yaw preset/snapshot recall issue should be fixed now.
I will send you a new build for testing, soon.
Bonus : all your current presets/snapshots should be properly recalled, with yaw angle just as you expect. (fingers crossed)

Best,
T.

Hi Thibaut,
GREAT!
I tried both with presets and snapshots and they work properly.
A HUGE THANKS
