Win 64 version of Spat?

Happy New Year!

Am I correct that Spat for Windows is currently only available as 32-bit?

Hi Trond and Happy new year to you !

You are correct: the Windows version is 32-bit only at the moment.
(it is compatible with Max 5, Max 6 and 7 in 32-bit mode).

I might try a 64-bit Windows build in a not-too-far future, but I really cant promise anything…

Hi Trond,

It’s available as VST 64 bit in the Flux version - so I guess that should work on Windows also (although it is not nearly the same as the max-version of course) :slight_smile:

Hi,

@ Lasse: I’m afraid it’s not that easy: the core code that T. made, which is used for the max and the plugin version, works on win64, but the max version of the spat is much more than that, you have to deal in particular with the GUI and the interface with max (signal, control, etc…).

I am not sure what I wrote that you believe is wrong - I wrote that ‘the plugin version is not nearly the same as the max version’, so I guess from what you write that we agree, which is wonderful! :slight_smile:
