Subwoofers spat5.viewer

#1

Hi,

I’m setting up an encoder patch and am trying to add some subwoofers to spat5.viewer but when initializing the patch the spat5.hoa.encoder~ throws up error messages, “error occurred when processing…”. Part of the patch below.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Ulf,

You’re not really doing anything wrong.
The only problem is that – for the moment – subwoofers are only used as a visual cue (in spat5.viewer), but are not handled by DSP objects.
So spat5.hoa.encoder~ complains, as it does not support the /subwoofer messages.
You could just ignore these spurious error messages, or filter them out (e.g. with spat5.osc.ignore)

Best,
T.

Ah, excellent.
Thanks!
