Who is using SPAT in live concerts, where sound system output is stereo? I would like to create an sound environment mimicking 8 channels, but with each channel moving randomly. Any suggestions or max pats?

Spat has been used - to some extent - for pretty much every concert made by ircam in the past years/decades. Even where sound system output is stereo.
I presume it is being used elsewhere, too.
For randomly moving sounds, you could have a look at the spat5.tuto-viewer-3.maxpat and spat5.tuto-viewer-6.maxpat tutorials.

Yes.
I’m no expert in that area, but (almost) everything you do with Spat in Max can also be done in Max for Live (with minor specificities and caveats).
