Source radius parameter in Panoramix

Hi,

I couldn’t find the radius parameter for the sources in Panoramix’ status window and if I try to send the osc message “/track/*/radius $1” from Max, Panoramix tells me that the message might be unsupported.

So I was asking myself if it was possible to control the radius parameter for each track in Panoramix and what would be the correct syntax to do so if it was possible ?

I’m using Panoramix 1.5.0 on macOS 10.14.

Thanks,

Pierre Fl.

Hi Pierre,

There is no radius parameter in Panoramix (assuming you’re talking about the “radius” as it is understood in spat5.oper).
If, on the other hand, you’re trying to change the distance of the sources (from the origin), you can use /track/*/dist $1

Best,
T.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.
Yes, I was talking about radius as in spat5.oper, to control the behaviour of the object when it moves near the listener.

May I ask it as a feature request if it does make sense for you ? It is a convenient feature when using spat in Max but when our sound engineers use Panoramix, they lack this feature and they need to adapt the volume of the object from the mixing desk.

Best,

Pierre

Yes, that makes sense.
