Source index error

Hi Thibaut,

I have seen that the topic had been discussed already, but my issue differs slightly.
I have a source index related error message linked with spat5.oper~
I use 12 sources, each of which is given a name via a message at startup.

I had modified a preset file because removing a source from spat5.oper is not really straightforward. Maybe that would explain the issue, but I had been extra careful.
Is there something I missed ? Maybe this is due to spat5.oper~ attributes?
Regards
Coralie

I also have a speaker layout issue, but I’ll post about it in another topic.

Hi Coralie,

Yes, I know that removing a source is not straightforward. I should work on making that simpler.

Anyway, I guess something when wrong with your editing of the preset file.
Be aware that – in spat5.oper – the source indices must not have gap.
i.e. 1 2 3 4 5 is OK but 1 2 4 5 6 is NOT.

Also, you can open the status window of your spat5.oper, and check if there is or not a source with index 10.

Otherwise you can send (me) the file if needed.

Regards,
T.

Thank you Thibaut,
Actually, I have an error message with each of my sources, except source 1.
I have checked and I don’t see any explaination. Also, these error messages stop once I have cleared the console and modified some of my parametric values.
I’m joining the preset file.

Thank you so muchPreset_Spat_16SOURCES9.json|attachment (48.5 KB)

I found the origin of the problem. spat5.oper~ had somehow not been initialized with 12 sources. I cannot figure why, but the error message stopped. I added an @initwith attribute of 12 sources.

OK cool. Glad this is now working for you.
