Hello, is there an easy way to put a source on every speaker in knn mode?
Yes. Use:
/source/1/neighbors [value]
where value is the number of speakers.
(see spat5.pan~ help patcher)

Shouldn’t I also tweak the spread and/or the exponent setting in parallel?
The /neighbors message specifies the number of active loudspeakers.
Then the /spread and /exponent messages affect how the signals are distributed among the active loudspeakers.
So, yes, these 3 messages are somewhat complementary.
