is there detailed documentation on the usage differences between using NFC-HOA vs. regular HOA in Spat5? I have not found anything in the package or on the internet regarding this topic, but I would love to explore the possibilities of NFC-HOA.

Sorry for the late reply.
NFC-HOA is not very well documented because… we dont really encourage its use. It’s not very well tested.
Compared to regular HOA, NFC-HOA further involves distance-dependent filters that you can observe in spat5.hoa.nfcfilters.
