This release introduces a number of significant improvements across the Spat ecosystem. Spat 5.3.7 features a new high-performance convolution engine in spat5.conv~ (now the default), global normalization and per-channel reverse controls, new spread laws (“fixed-grid” and “naive”), and the addition of spat5.hoa.srp~, spat5.sf.normalize, and spat5.reverb.control. Panoramix benefits from extended session management commands (including indexed track/bus creation and session reset), a built-in per-track sound file player, improved notification handling, and multiple stability fixes. ADM workflows have been strengthened with improved BW64 support, robust parsing of long time formats, safer XML handling, and better chunk management. Numerous reliability fixes address edge cases such as very long file paths, high-order filter designs, low-level metering accuracy (now down to –120 dB), large OSC bundles, and macOS external drive handling. The minimum supported macOS version is now 11.0. Overall, this release focuses on performance, robustness, expanded control messaging, and enhanced production workflows.
