Is there a way to get more than 128 @numspeakers in spat.spat~ ?
It seems to max out at that point.

Indeed, spat.spat~ is restricted to 128 channels (while most other objects, like spat.pan~ are limited to 250 – which is the limit of Max).
This is weird. I’ll fix that in future releases.
In the meanwhile, there’s no magic workaround. Sorry.
