Hi there
Two questions:
- If I have to send an HOA 3rd order stream to Panoramix from Reaper, what should I use as input track? I think I would need a sort of ‘thru’ for it, right?
- Where can I change the Aperture?
Kind regards

Hi Axel,

Hi T
Sorry never answered before, but I got the info thanks.
I wanted to ask you tho about the aperture parameter, I understand you may never add it to Panoramix, but is there a way for me to add it? I found it really useful when I was working on a few projects before and it’s the only thing missing from the workflow to make it the BEST possible spatialisation tool around.
Regards
Axel
Hi Axel,
Sorry for the late reply.
When you modify the source aperture/yaw, you can see in spat5.oper (leftmost outlet) that this alters the direct and room filters.
So, in theory, you could catch this information and use it to mimic the behavior with panoramix.
In practice, the actual implementation would not be straightforward nor very convenient.
(the direct filter is easy; the room filter is more complex as there is no one-to-one equivalent in panoramix. Filtering should be applied on the associated reverb bus… Try it!)
Best,
T.
