Xp 1.15

XP has just received an update to version 1.15.

To ensure you have the latest features and improvements, we encourage you to download the update from your user account. Alternatively, you can utilize the convenient online update feature. If you choose the latter option, please make sure to patiently wait until the entire process is completed.

This update primarily focuses on technical enhancements, specifically upgrading all binary and external components from the latest version of Max/MSP 8.5.4 by Cycling '74. By doing so, we have optimized in particular the performance of XP for Ventura, Ableton Live 11.3.3. and Ircam Spat 5.3.1

Remember how to create a custom speaker layout with XP? The old style is almost deprecated, as we now use Xp.lsd, a device that is part of the Xp bundle.

In this video, we’ll show you a quick and easy way to design your loudspeaker layout, create a preset, and modify the layout as needed.

Please keep in mind that the name of your layout should not contain spaces.

Let us know if you find this helpful.

To purchase and download Xp, please visit www.xp4l.com.

The current version available is Xp 1.15, which supports Mac OS Intel & Arm64 (up to OS 13.4) as well as Windows 10/11. It is optimized for Ableton Live 11.3.3.

Hi all,

We wanted to bring to your attention an official issue we have in XP, which you may have encountered or might encounter in the future.

Regrettably, XP devices cannot be grouped or incorporated into macros. This useful feature is currently incompatible with XP devices and, even more concerning, it can lead to disruptive system problems. Thankfully, only a small number of users have experienced this issue thus far.

As you are aware, XP devices automatically rename tracks in real-time upon insertion, and these names are utilized throughout the architecture. However, it appears that when creating a macro with m4l devices in Ableton Live, the devices are reloaded, causing the instancing of XP devices to break and resulting in a complete change of track names.

To go around this problem, we advise against using macros with XP devices. Then in your workflow you have multiple ways to reproduce macro behavior, so we believe it is not a “too bad” problem

Please remain mindful of this limitation while working with XP. We greatly value your contributions to the ongoing development of XP, and we are dedicated to making continuous improvements on a daily basis while maintaining a humble approach and a keen awareness of areas that can be enhanced.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.

Very excited to announce thar we are planning a new update to Xp sometime in July

This forthcoming release, version 1.16, will introduce glCore support for visual rendering, elevating performance to new heights and unlocking a plethora of thrilling future possibilities. In addition to the improved rendering capabilities, we have dedicated significant effort to enhancing the codebase, addressing bugs, and implementing a handful of new features.

We will provide detailed information about these additions shortly.
