Sorry for the late reply. Can you attach the patch that makes the problem? Usually, this message is shown when something wrong happens in csound (errors during the computation), so that Csound does not produce a file that OM can read. If you are using OMChroma, you should look at the Lisp window for error messages coming from csound.
Normally, Csound is called by OM and does not need to be open, but you can also give Csound QT the orchestra and score files produced by OM and see if it computes them.
