Spectral interpolation

Hi,

I’ve been experimenting with different way to achieve an Spectral Interpolation with Max 7 using the pfft~ object with not success and also experimenting with some spectral processing with pfft~ and Jitter, but also without success. If you have listen to Trevor Wishart’s Vox 5 you’ll know what I mean. I’m trying to avoid a sensation of mixing or fading out/in between two sound, I want a transformation from sound 1 to sound 2 (I assume that the characteristics of both sounds should, in some way be, be similar).
My question is, can SuperVP help me with this processing? How?, If not, is there any other IRCAM forum object that could help me? and how?.

Thank you
Leo

Maye you ought to try supervp.cross~ (in the supervp for Max externals)

But it is a fact that it depends mostly on the two sounds you use.
Generally , if they don’t have any spectral common relation, there is a big chance that they might sound as a mix.

Best

For me it is not quite clear whether you just mean modulating sounds or voices. The three applications from music box are very good.
I can recommend as well my software model 4, that deals with them and concerning voices model 5
