[spat5.callibrate.delay] is crashing randomly in Max8

Dear Spat users,

When using the delay calibration tool, Max seems to crash randomly.
Does anyone have an Idea why this could happen?

The crash always happens in the middle of a measurement
also: Sometimes the scan will not start at all.

[spat5.callibrate.gain] works fine for me.

EDIT:
I have noticed the sweep order to have an effect on the crashing. Sweep order 16 will always crash for me, lower orders seem to crash less often (maybe because the run faster?) I do not fully understand what the sweeping order does exactly.

Many thanks, Marijn

Hi Marijn,

Could you please provide crash reports and further information as described here : https://discussion.forum.ircam.fr/t/spat-5-for-max-read-this-first/21628

Thanks,
T.

“Order 16” means the sweep length is 2^16 = 65536 samples.
The sweep length must be greater than the delay(s) you want to measure.

It was an empty patch with the [spat5.callibate.delay] help file open.

It seems to have something to do with my outputs. Maybe the fact that I do not have the actual physical output on my MacBook?

Thank you for taking the time to investigate!

Hi,
Thanks for the report.
I was not able to reproduce the crash.
However, I fixed some tiny details that maybe were related to your issue.
Could you please try out the attached version ?
Thanks,
T.
