Somax2.6.0 Server

Hello. The server of SOMAX dosen’t work.

When I click the button “START SERVER”, I receive the following errors in the Terminal window. Any idea what might be going on here? The version of Somax is 2.6.0 and I use Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1.

Hi,

The most likely scenario is that you already have a conflicting somax server running somehow. Try closing Max and all terminal windows, then check Activity Monitor and see if you have any application called somax_server running (see the first part of this answer for detailed instructions). If you do, force quit those.

Does this solve your issue?

If it doesn’t, do you have any other application (e.g. other applications that communicate over OSC/UDP) that uses either of the ports 1234 or 1235?
