While on further releases Somax will automatically be able to run natively on MacOS ARM processors (M1/M2) without having to run Max under Rosetta, we are already providing the externals to do so in your current Somax2.5 installation.
The externals are available in this repository.
You can then follow these instructions:
- Download this repository
- Go to Documents/Max 8/Packages/Somax2/externals
- Paste here all the .mxo objects from this repository, replacing the old ones
- Go to your Applications folder, select Max, right click on it and select “Get Info”
- You can now deselect the “Open using Rosetta” option displayed here
