Situation Tutorial Files

Hi -

Does anyone have a link to the Situation tutorial files described in the documentation here: http://support.ircam.fr/docs/om-libraries/old/Situation%203.pdf please?

Importing the tutorial patches brings in some more recent ones but the ones described in the documentation appear to be simpler and more step-by-step for someone with zero experience in constraints-based rules definition.

Dear Graham,

This is really old stuff. It used to run on apple ppc. Should try to get hold on an antique machine to see if it is still up and running and if these are still available with the new version of the lib. !’ ll keep you posted.

Thank you Karim! That’s very kind!

I’ve discovered that there are screenshots of each of the tutorial patches described at the end of the pdf. So it would be a lot quicker for me to recreate them from images than for you to dust off an old Mac. So I’ll do that rather than you spend your valuable time.

Dear Graham,

Well after some excavations found an ancient OM version (4.8). The tutorials are the same as in the latest release. I suspect that the the examples in the documentation where never made available as patches and they where entirely ported from PW. Well if someone has a clue about these mysterious fellows, please give us a hint.

Hi All,

I was in same situation while translating Situation pdf manual (sorry for word game…). It is a work in progress - too much to do and few time to do it - and contextually I had started the creation of pdf patches. They are not ended, I enclose them for speeding the work, if useful.
