Signal control in modalys

Dear Robert,

I’ve tested the new 3.4.1 with my Geecos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Si2Y9Sm4AE) in performance and I must say it is a great release. It seems that the problem with the felt and the jet connection is solved.
I’ll go and test the setpitchbend system and give you a feedback soon.

Concerning the CPU usage and stability, I’m yet obliged to use Max 5 because I vary many control parameters in Max.
Moreover, the big charge in continuous parameter variations sometimes provoques discontinuities in the flux, certainly because the Max scheduler is surcharged.
I know that this isn’t strictly a modalys problem, but we discussed to implement the possibly to vary all controllers in signal. This would allow a more stable and accurate parameter variation.
This is already a possibility of modalys lisp, you’ve only to make a script, but in the mlys environment this is not yet possible.
In my opinion this is a major feature request that could help improve sound variation and accuracy in realtime.

thank you

Great film Lorenzo!
Would you allow me to create a “news” item on the Instrument Acoustics’s website?

Regarding the explicit signal access, I have made some preliminary work (as you probably know) but had not time to complete it. I will make sure it has a higher priority!
But at the same time, it is great to see that everything keeps running flawlessly under Max 5!

Thanks,
Robert

Thank you Robert,
I must say that Max 5 is better in terms of cpu usage (no clicks for cpu peaks), nevertheless there are some discontinuities in some parameters variations.
