SDIF error in Linux

Hi All,

I am working in OM 6.20 on Fedora 32, and I receive an error using sdif files, for example evaluating pm2 tutorials (at the moment I can not open the 01-pm2-analysis patch). I enclose a screenshot:

The error repeats trying to load sdif files.

Any help should be appreciated. I think the same error was not present in previous. And on Mac everything runs good. I think it could be a sdif library compilation problem, but I have no capacities to deduce more.

Thanks in advance, ciao

Fabio

Hi Fabio,

Few questions:

  1. which version of pm2 are you using?
  2. This error happens AFTER evaluation of the sdiffile, did you check the listener output?

Hi Karim,

Thank you for fast reply. I have tried to quit and reopen OM, and pm tutorials runned perfectly.

I have copied the pm2 analysis tutorial on a patch of mine, and error verified. After quitting and reopening OM, the error, running pm2 analysis from my patch disappeared, also using different audio files than the tutorial original one. I can not give any explanation of the phenomenon.

I am using OM-pm2 1.6, I see it should be the last one.

Ciao

Fabio

P.S.
I will be out for some hour…

Hi Fabio,

there are some issues with the object sdiffile. sometimes it gives some errors. The best is when you copy the patch containing this object is to remove it and create a new sdiffile. This seems to be a very old bug (6.12, etc…)
When I get some time, i will look into it.
THanx for the report.

Hi Karim,

Thank you very much. To be exact, I must say that in these last times I have received no more errors.

Thank you for support, ciao
