Hello colleagues. I am getting back to work with the great quantification library RQ. I don’t know if Adrien Ycart is still there in the team but i hope so cause there are a couple of serious bug that ave popped out which makes very hard to work with the library, which is a pity because the concept is absolutely great and it’s able to realise exact quantifications and very interesting “creatives” one… hope we can find a way to fix it.
I am using 3 intel mac with OsX 10.11.6, OM 6.12, the bugs are reproducible on all my computers:
The first bug, a graphic one: the red square in the low-left sub-window which should highlight the portion of voice which is selected for alternatives version is now showing as a very thick rectangle which looks like a red-filled one and makes impossible to see the music on which we are operating. I attach a picture (bug1-graphic).
The second bug, even more serious: It seems that RQ does not embed in patch the content of the object. Every time the patch is open (even if the workspace has not been closed, it’s sufficient to close and reopen the patch itself) the objet RQ triggers the calculation, which is time consuming especially in real-world quantifications that takes large amount of time) [Message1]
If you skip the recalculation you get an error and the patch does not open anymore! [message2]
A feature request: Can we make optional (via preference or a flag) the message that warns that the calculation may take long time??! Since it’s segment related, you cannot launch a long quantification batch because the system stops at every segment, and that’s a pain in the bass.
Thanks for the support!
