Rhythm Interpolation Patch Question :)

Hi everyone,

I just started learning OM several weeks ago. As a composer, I am particularly interested in interpolation patch. I saw an article called “Knitting and Weaving: Using OpenMusic to Generate Canonic Musical Material” by Serge Lemouton and Asbjørn Schaathun from “The OM Composer Book - Vol. 2”. There’s a patch called rhythmic interpolation (I’ve already attached the image), and I cannot figure out what the elements/objects inside the red patch and omloop are. I tried building the red patch and omloop by myself several times but it worked differently.

I would be very grateful if someone could help
Thank you!

I have sent Asbjørn Schaathun an email now on the issue. He developed his own software in the eighties, inspired by a lot of the work happening in Finland. Here an article on the software.

Hi Dagfinnkoch,

Thank you very much!

The article is very interesting, great to learn from it!

Dear Mr Zou,

I discovered this (very) old email from you by accident. My friend Dagfinn somehow answered you then; however, did you manage to build, for example, the rhythmic interpolation patch yourself? Or is this a long-gone memory for you, and you have started on a completely different project by now? If you like, give me a hint, and I can provide some solutions to your problems.

All the best
Asbjørn
