Record sound, analyze some features on the whole record

Hi there,
I’lm designing a patch that record a sound on the fly, and I’d need to “extract” some sound features for my whole record. I thought about mubu obviously.

What your be the pipeline for recording, doing a loudness calculation, and calculate the mean of the loudness for instance?

record, doing calculation seem ok to me
(record to mubu container, end of the record trigger the loudness (and other features) calculation, but how to have the mean of a track, for instance ?)
I’d like to classify sound recordings which are loud, or less loud, or very not loud.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi Julien,

there are 3 ways to do it. The most simple one is using mubu.process ... audio loudness:chop @chop.size 0 like here:
rec-and-get-mean.maxpat (18.5 KB)
