Going through the Antescofo tutorials included in the Max package (MacOS), some inconsistencies are encountered.
The first one being the calibration tutorial. The “level calibration” on the left appears to work fine, but not the “pitch calibration”. Simply no message is passed to the yellow slider; or actually yes, a continuous stream of "0."s.
Is this an expected behaviour? Or a deprecated function that still remains in the tutorials?
ME have same problem…Even if I use the “tune $1” message to give a try to fix it, it didn’t work.
The Calibration messages to Antescofo object seem to be “dead” since about a year now! I’ll have a close look soon! This was not intentional but at the same time, “fixing” calibration just comes down to changing the input audio gain of Antescofo object.
In short: The calibration output gives you a good understanding of how Antescofo hears things and you can reach a better discrimination by adjusting input gain or quality.
