Hello!
I was just going through the audio examples provided on the orchidea website, and listening to the bell orchestrations and looking at their symbolic representation, I noticed, that some of them feature percussion (in this case) timpani samples that are not part of FullSOL.
http://www.orch-idea.org/archeos2/solutions.txt Check here, the Archeos Bell example.
I have FullSOL installed and wonder, where whomever made these example orchestrations got these datasets from, since they cannot be downloaded from orch-ideo.org .
Thank you very much,

Hi Paul,
That’s interesting, I never noticed there were samples in there labeled timpani! (specifically “tympani-sticks”). Those are all from the tam-tam database, and I believe refer to using timpani sticks on a tam-tam. Regardless, all the samples in that solutions.txt are available in the Orchidea tam tam dataset, here:

Alas, there’s no good solution for piano or percussion out of the box. But wouldn’t be so difficult to take an existing sample library and build one’s own database! Renaming the files to follow the Orchidea protocol would be the biggest lift.
Hope that helps!
