Partiels for macOS High Sierra (Version 10.13.6)

Hi there!
I am having problems to start the application Partiels in my old Mac (macOS High Sierra, Version 10.13.6). It seems to be a problem with the Vamp PlugIns. I have updated the App without checking.
Is there an old version from Partiels compatible with my system? Where could I find it?
Thank you!

Partiels should still work on macOS 10.13 (but not for much longer). If this issue is related to a Vamp plugin, try to identify which plugin it is. And you can also try resetting the settings by deleting the corresponding files (~/Library/Application Support/Ircam/). In any case, you can find all versions, from v2.0.5 to the latest, on the project repository: Releases · Ircam-Partiels/Partiels · GitHub.

Hi Guillot,
thanks a lot for your reply.

I’ve identified the PlugIn that is causing the crash: Fcn.dylib. If I remove this PlugIn from the Vamp folder, the program starts without any issues (apart from the missing PlugIn, of course).

I also tried resetting the settings as you suggested and deleted the corresponding Partiels files, but unfortunately that didn’t solve the problem. Partiels still crashes on startup (see attached screenshot).

I’m currently using version 2.0.4 of Partiels. Do you think updating to the most recent version could solve the issue, or might it cause more problems?

Thanks again for your help!

You should be able to update to the latest version. In fact, it may even improve the situation, as any crashing plug-in would be ignored.

The same applies to the IRCAM Vamp Plugins. The FCN plug-in is not compatible with macOS 10.13, and the latest installer should normally prevent its installation. In any case, I would recommend using an alternative pitch plug-in instead.

Alright, thank you very much! I’ll try it out with the update then.
Is there any other pitch plug‑in you could recommend that is compatible with macOS 10.13?

You can try the Feature Scoring plugin from Ircam Vamp plugins library (supervp).

Thank you! I will give it a try!
