Parameter Text File Being Rejected

I hope that Audiosculpt will eventually have an GUI for producing sound transformations over time.

In the mean time, I am using Audiosculpt v.3.3.8 which calls for me to make and upload a parameter text file.

I have made the file following the Audiosculpt manual carefully, with columns showing respectively:

time | tab character | sound 1 amplitude scaling | sound 1 frequency scaling | sound 2 amplitude scaling | sound 2 frequency scaling | Q-factor

I have tried this using a comma to show decimal point (à la française) and as a full stop point (à l’anglaise) - neither file is accepted when checked by Audiosculpt. I get the error message:

“Check the syntax of line: 2”

Is my use of the tab character between ‘Time’ and ‘Sound 1 amplitude scaling’, correct? There looks to be a tab there in the manual, given column alignments.

Why is Audiosculpt not accepting my parameter file?

Here is the text of the file:

Hi Phonoscopiste,

The parameters file appears to be correct for Cross synthesis in cross mode This is the message thrown by AS 3.4.5 when Check Parameter file was called. I used the extension .par for the file

May be you need to upgrade.
May be it failed because of the decimals. Besides, when you take a closer look at the Generalized cross synthesis GUI, the parameters of sound1 and sound2 do not exceed 1 and they are as follow :

time X x Y y Q

sound1 amplitude scaling | sound2 amplitude scaling | sound1 frequency scaling | | sound2 frequency scaling | Q-factor

So you need to tweak your file’s parameters again

p.s. AS has already a GUI for producing sound transformations over time for most of the treatments. (but you must be talking about the cross synth…)

Thanks Nadir B. I’ll try this.
