Does Orchids support Yin and MFCC, or will it ever? Otherwise what are the closest descriptors to Yin and MFCC? Finally is there a documentation explaining what these descriptors represent perceptually?
In fact the MFCC is already included in Orchids, although it is named “Mel” so you either have the temporal version (Mel) or static mean version (Mel (Mean)).
Regarding Yin, it is used as a part of the computation for the different descriptors. However, we found it makes little sense to use the “fundamental frequency” as a valid descriptor for orchestration (which is usually either multi-pitch and does not “add up” logically in mixtures)
Is it possible to compare the fundamental frequency of the solutions with the fundamental frequency of the source audio?
