Open Music Error

Hello, everyone.

Over the last few days, I have been trying to use an audio file that I exported from SPEAR and imported into Open Music to do spectral analysis, but the software opens a message box saying that the file is larger than acceptable (as you can see in the image).

In addition, I sent the same file to other colleagues to see if the error was in the audio I imported, and they were able to open it in Open Music.

Hi, ritaroselho,

Please can you send a snapshot of the patch, or the patch itself without the soundfile just to see what’s wrong here?

And if possible the specification of your soundfile (sr, type, length in sec., etc) and OM version you are using

Best
K

I am using O.M. 7.5 and the error appears when I try to load the soundfile (it is a SDIF file and has the duration of 5 seconds).

Unfortunately, I am having trouble attaching the snapshots in this reply.

Dear ritaroselho,

First please try to use the latest stable version 7.6
However, it seems your problem is that you are misusing OM objects
an SDIF file is not a soundfile. If you need to load an sdif file please use the SDIFFILE object.
If it is a .wav or .aiff file (a simple sound file) please use the SOUND object

Best regards
K
