Omprisma library dbap

Hello, Tchao

when I’m trying to synthesize with “dbap” class for spatialization, there is a problem:

:: Csound version 5.19.02 (float samples) Jan 20 2013
:: orchname: /Applications/OM 6.7/Myworkspace/2012-13/out-files/Chroma-Prisma-example.orc
:: using callback interface
:: Csound tidy up: Segmentation fault

Any suggestions, please?
Thank you in advance.

Does the error report in the Listener give any indication where Csound is failing ? It’s possible the orc file is out of sync with the Csound version, but typically that seems to be a problems with using Csound6.

Best,

Hi,

I have similar problems when looking at the OMPrism tutorial. Here’s what I’m doing:

  1. Start OpenMusic 6.7 (on OSX 10.9)
  2. Load the 1-omprisma-overview patch from omprima-tutorials-patches
  3. Douple-click the pannign patch
  4. Evaluate the leftmost “discrete” example

This cause a Csound error. I’ve pasted everything printed to the listener here:

There is no error when i’ve evaluated dbap objects… During the synthesizing, the following window appears…

Hi,

There’s been a change in the csound5.19 parser.

Can you try adding to the csound options in OM’s Preferences/Externals the flag “–old-parser”?

OMPrisma is not yet compatible with Csound6 (at least I haven’t tried yet).

PS As for the DBAP classes, they should not throw errors, but it might be that they don’t render accurately. I’ll look into that.

hello,

I obtain that when I launch : 1-omprisma-overview : panning : !!!Error in CSound synthesis !!!

but when I launch : spat (same patch), for example, It works !

So some patches works and others crashes !

Also, I’ve to open Multiplayer by myself, OM doesn’t do it alone

Csound, and libs are up to date

OMPrisma is not yet compatible with Csound6 (some classes might work, I haven’t tried this yet).
PS Note, that for DBAP classes you need to provide a value to the slot “atten-fun” (e.g. the presets 1 or 2).

As for Jerome’s MultiPlayer-loading issue I’m not sure - is the path set correctly in Preferences/Externals?

hi Marlon,

OMPrisma is not yet compatible with Csound6 : It explain so much !!

As for Jerome’s MultiPlayer-loading issue I’m not sure – is the path set correctly in Preferences/Externals? : yes it is !

Thank you Marlon, I confirm now it’s all working (with csound 5.19)
Congratulations for your library

thank you Marlon : I’ve installed CSound 5.19 and It works well !!

But I confirm Multiplayer is well set in the path

Thanks Marlon,

Downgrading Csound solved the issue for me. Looking forward to check out OMPrism!

Trond
