What is the main difference between OMax standalone app and the OMax pathces in the Forum distribution ?

I moved your question to a new topic as it does not seem to have a link with multiple OMaxes.
However, I am not sure to understand correctly your question.
What do you mean by “OMax Standalone app” ?
There are 4 versions of OMax: two for Max 6.1 and two for prior version of Max.
For both Max version, there is an OMax version without pitch detection or time stretching (append with the _m suffix, standing for “MIDI” but the spectral part of OMax works also). The other version includes the external objects (yin~ and supervp.scrub~) to achieve pitch detection and time stretching.
All of these distributions are made of custom Max external objects and patches. Thus, all the version work in the regular Max environment as well as in the “Runtime” Max application. This way, anybody can use OMax through Max “Runtime” (which is free). Max owners can edit the patches as well.
