How can I configure OMAX to accept audio output from CataRT or another non-acoustic, non-microphone-based instrument input such as Ableton Live or Kyma?

I don’t know Kyma.
From Ableton Live, you can get either audio or MIDI so that should work with OMax.
There is somebody working on a connexion between OMax and CataRT at IRCAM right now however it is not done yet and he is doing that with his own (composing) tools. But maybe you can share some ideas and patches about such a connexion. I will ask him to explain (if possible) on the forum what he is trying to achieve.

I learned from Robert Appleton of Loopback Audio. It allows for the seamless routing of audio between softwares OMax, CataRT, Ableton Live, etc.
