OM-SuperVP "Package nil not found"

Hi Karim -

I’m seeing the “Error while loading the library OM-SuperVP. Package nil not found.” message.

I downloaded all the latest libraries from GitHub, re-downloaded OM 7.0 (Intel Mac), re-dowloaded super-vp and PM-2 command line tools, installed them under Applications, updated config.

I’m seeing the same error in OM6.20 btw.

Any ideas? Thanks Karim.

Config here:
iMac Pro Intel. MacOS 12.3 Monterey.

Dear Graham,

I am not able to reproduce your problem. I tested it on MacIntel (Catalina) OM7
and on MacM1 (Monterey), and Om-SuperVP loads well.
I suspect you are loading a bunch of libraries, and you have a conflicting issue here.
Can you just try to load OM-SuperVP alone, creating a new Workspace. I don’t think it is an OM version issue. The Om-SuperVp tested is the latest (version 2.13) downloaded from here:

Keep me informed

Hi Graham,

Just a question, and a possible hint: Have you changed the names of the folders after downloading and installing them? You may need to delete master from the folders’ filenames that you downloaded from GitHub.

Hope this helps.

All the best,
António

Thanks Karim, Thanks António -

It appears to have been a conflict issue. However - I’ve not discovered which library was causing the conflict as I gradually brought libraries back in one-by-one with a quit of OM each time, starting with om-supervp, and they seem to be playing nicely now. I did try switching on a bunch in one go and I had a ‘nil’ popup with a lot of them which were fine before. But I went back to none, did them one-by-one with and Apply, OK, Quit OM, restart OM and they work.

:man_shrugging:

Thanks!

Graham

Dear Graham.

That’s what i have suspected. There are some depreciated library such as OM_ASX.
In general, you do not want to load ALL libraries. Just the ones you intend to use in your project (workspace), since it may be a cause of incompatibility in this case.
