OM playing MIDI

Hello dear friends,
The OM is really difficult for me, I have left a long while, now I will join actively for certain purposes.
1.where can I download the newest version of OM Tutorials and SDIF Tutorials Description files (pdf, my OM 6.9 is perfect downloaded), I can find only on-line Documentation but no Description folder (.pdf), I have an old one ( for instance Tutorial 7- Playing MIDI, now switch to Tutorial 10 MIDI - microtone setup etc…)
2.How to setup MIDI environment? I believe Midishare has been correct setup, do I need assign Driver Manager and how? I can’t play Chord-seq (the Listner has ERROR: port 0 is not connected. Check MIDI preferences to connect MIDI devices ?)
my hardwares Midi interface (old, green Midiman 2X2 Driver has update) synthesiser (Yamaha TG-100) are linked with computer ( Mac Pro OS 10.10.2)

Hello Karim,
thanks for your reply, I am so glad to have a contact with you again.
I have downloaded the Midishare 1.93 and 1.92, but both encounter problems:
“MidiShare-1.93.pkg” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

I don’t understand http://repmus.ircam.fr/openmusic/midi
“The MidiShare installer will create a MidiShare folder in /Applications/ and install MidiShare.framework and Player.framework in /System/Library/Frameworks/”

Ok First , If you need to install software not Apple certified , you will need to go to your system preferences in security and allow installation of application not apple. If not you will be rather limited by their license and not be able to install things you download.
MidiShare is secure you can install it.

Hello Karim, how do you do?
Again the MIDI devices don’t work, the connection as below"
Scalett 4x4 with midi cable to Korg Prophecy. show as screenshots.
when I play Chord-seq or Voic there is no sound.

Dear Shing-kwei,

The Om setup seems right. However, your screenshot of audio/midi apple setup is showing only the audio setup. And audio is not midi :slight_smile:
And sorry not being a help here, i don’t own a Scarlett interface. So i don’t know here the problem.

Audio device Scarlett (Focusrite) provide a pair Midi in- and output=, which I link to my synthesizer Prophecy. anyone can help? thanks.
