Merry Xmas to you all.
Just to report back about our progress using LispWorks 8 and Apple’s M1 issue:
The good news is that OpenMusic is now up running and ready with this beautifull LispWorks new release and will be compatible with the new Apple processors. Apparently, as reported, it will run much faster (to be tested).
The mildly bad news (not so bad, hey it’s Xmas…!) is it should wait a little in order to access a M1 machine necessary to deliver a compatible native image which will run on these processors. Actually i don’t have this kind of machine at home. Once back to base, (sometime in January), I will build this image on a M1 machine and make it available ASAP for testing.
