OM-Chant on OM 7.6

I am using OM-chant on OM 7.6, on a Mac running Intel MAC os 12.6.2,

First, when I open Preferences and Externals, I do not see an entry for Chant, as was mentioned in the documentation. OM Chant is on my list of auto-load libraries and I have restarted OM several times.

When I first ran some of the tutorial patches, I got security errors trying to run the Chant app, so I managed to get those errors taken care of. Now, when I run some of the tutorial patches, they do produce audio files in my out-files folder, but the files are “dead” with, seemingly, no audio in them.

And in the patch itself the audio object contains a file-not-found error.

Any quick tricks to get it working?

Thank you for reporting this issue. In fact, OM-Chant library will require an update, since there are new binaries available and the the sources of the library don’t allow to choose a binary available. So I will update it ASAP and will let you know.
Further more, the OM Documentation is getting ported to our GitHub pages, and the OM Chant section is outdated but will be updated soon.

Ok here is an updated OM-Chant lib for testing purposes:

The binaries have been removed from the library since they are maintained by the analysis-Synthesis team. That way you will have updated binaries to be downloaded here:

You just download the Chant binary, place it wherever you want
Then once the library is loaded just point to the Chant binary in the External tab of Om’s preferences.
This should also keep track of the binary’s path.

Don’t hesitate to report if you find issues.

Hi, thank you, I installed the new OM-Chant you sent and I now see the Chant in the Externals window.

Is the Chant Binary only available with a paid account? It says “subscribe to download”, and apparently my free account is not enough?

I don’t know the exact Ircam Forum policy, it keeps on changing. It could be that it is free for download for the premium members.
However, you can still use the old binaries from the old library.
Tell me if it is ok for you.
