No, not in Modalisp. The only way is to use the modalys~ object in Max. But, this means amplify the signal a lot in certain situations as for wind instruments… I think “free-cir-plate” should be ok in that context !

Of course, that makes sense, and I figured that it was possible in Max, and that there would be potential deafness risks involved .
My point is that I am trying to compare different sounds and their amplitudes depending on the objects properties, with a single excitation each time. And since the excitation is normalized, I can’t do that with one script.
I’ll have to use Mlys~ then.

I can help you with that ; first I modified a patch in order to strike a free-circ-plate instead of strings…
Think the mlys objects as a way to describe the initial state of your instrument. To change any parameter after initialization, you have to talk directly to the modalys~ object with name_of_object@name_of_parameter and your new values…
