Hi all,
I’ve installed Modalys and I’ve started trying to make the patcher from the IRCAM workshop on Friday morning but I can’t get any sound out. I’m sure the objects are right, but maybe my slider settings are wrong. When I run a .lisp example I get the message “Syntax error: an unknown token can’t go there.” and it won’t work in terminal. Any ideas?

Hi Kate,
Did you simply “bang” the patch and activated the loudspeaker?
Could you please specify your Mac OS version and machine? It looks like an installation or configuration problem to me.

Yes audio works with other max patches, and I have tried banging the patch. It’s a Macbook running OS X 10.6.8. I think you’re right about it being an installation problem. I have set up max’s file preferences to locate the modalys files.

What does the Max Window say to you? Error messages?

It’s working! I worked through with one of the examples and changed my sliders from slider to live.slider, and also removed some of my spaces between the object name and the @… Seemed to do the trick.
