Mubu.play insert points in track while playing?

Dear list,

I want to add data matrices to my data track while I am ‘playing’ the track. An event that has to happen some time in the future but on the same track. I use the method ‘insertpoints’ to add those events to the track. It seems that mubu.play only plays those events that are in the track before I start playing the track with ‘play 1’. With the methods ‘getindex $1’ on the track itself and ‘get $1’ with the result of that operation on another representation of the track I can get there (if I am careful with events that happen at the same time) but I hope there is a more elegant method?

Is there a way to change the speed of mubu.play? Or is that in the todo list?
Is it possible to implement the playing of a certain region like with mubu.play~? mubu.play now only allows for a start time.

the bug is fixed now but not yet release.

Hi, I think my question regarding mubu.play is still open. In the mean time I found that it is possible to preload the track with dummy values just ahead of time so ‘the pointer’ is not shooting to the end when it does not encounter future data. It is a hassle though. When I want to remove future events, I am also removing the dummy values that are preventing the pointer from shooting forward. I found a way to stop and restart mubu.play in a natural way considering my system, but it does not feel like this is how it should be…

I have included the part of the patch that does all this handling. This does not work as it is…
