More demos

Hello,

I’m very interested in Modalys but can only find a few examples of its possibilities.

is there any source where i can find more audio examples, videos or even a demo-version of it?

I looked on youtube, read through the manual but feel that i didn’t really get a grasp of what it’s able of doing.

any help would be appreciated, since I’m searching for a versatile physical modeling tool to use in my work.

Hello,
we have just started a Modalys playlist videos tutorial on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY3xTq-sI7M&list=PLqxIlrZFcLJG_GXVir6v1We-M40g2NMlw&feature=share

We are uploading one or 2 videos a week,
for now I’ll suggest you to go start the example in the Modalys Application Folders
Cheers,
Jonathan

Hey Jonathan!

Thanks! I’ve already discovered your videos. Keep up the good work (:

The thing is, that I actually haven’t bought Modalys yet but I’m thinking about it.

I just feel that I need more examples of how it works/sounds before I buy it.

So, I will definitely watch your videouploads as they continue.

one question you might be able to answer:

how is it working integrated in max/msp?

I would rather just use it with max for live performances.

so do i create the actual instrument with Lisp and then control it with max?

So for Max you have 2 possibilities

  1. The hard way, you make a script, then use it to Max
  2. The smart way: you can patch the command with object started with mlys. if the Modalys library installed

If you were a member of the forum, there is the ForumMaxApps which modalys script already made, with examples, and ready made M4Live plugins.

Here I made a quick demo of the Modalys Max App tools.
In the end you can see how it’s embed in live
I hope it helps:

Cheers

No
I copy-paste the Mlys For Live patch inside Max4Live as an Audio Effect!
Then I saved it and called it Modalys

dammit! jonathan! thanks a lot, buddy!

thats what i wanted to see/hear

Glad you like it

thanks jonathan and excuse my stupidity !!!

It’s my fault, I made it as there was a Modalys.amxd

Two strings excited with a force controller. With adjustment of the length of each string and possibility to move the positions of input accesses (manually or with a line)
Stereo output

2strings.aif (8.21 MB)

Very nice,
thank you!
