Midi port

Hi all
it seems a bug. On my last version of OM (7.7), the port 0 is always disconnected, impossible to connect.
Any help welcome :slightly_smiling_face:

Dear Able,

Can you be more specific, ie:
are you using fluidsynth or midiports?
Either way you should check out the MIDI preferences tab here:

As you can see, defaults port are by default set to 0

However, even by clicking on the rightmost upper icon You have MIDI port mode using port nil, but this should be port 0 anyhow.

Just be sure to check
in OM preferences 'Force score player.

Hi Able,

this means you didn’t apply (press Apply button).

  1. When you get PortMidi error port 0 is not connected, that means you are still using midi player instead of fluidsynth

  2. In the first place, when using midi player the PortMidi error wraning means that you didn’t choose an output device. So it is disconnected and the error is normal. You should choose something to connect to. Please read here:
