There is a known Apple issue if running Somax v2.4.1 on Mac OS Ventura.
The Somax Server will give you the following error when you try to start it:
“launch_local can’t be opened because Max is not allowed to open documents in Terminal"
To fix it:

Download iTerm2: https://iterm2.com/ (or another Terminal application)

Go to Somax-2.4.1/misc → right click on “somax_server” and select Show Package Content

From here go to Contents/MacOS → right click on “somax_server” and select Open With

Select iTerm2
You are now ready to go!
