Integrating AscoGraph to Max/Pd Patcher

We have just released v0.8 of Antescofo. It comes with various new features that we will introduce little by little in the group.

One important feature is the integration of AscoGraph (Antescofo’s GUI) in the Patcher experience in Pd and Max. AscoGraph is brought up by double-clicking the Max object, or sending [ascograph open] to the Antescofo object (Max and Pd).

Max Users: AscoGraph’s window position, width and height, and top-panel show/hide are now Attributes that save with your patcher. This means that each time you save/re-open your patch, you’ll find AscoGraph in the same position and state as before. Note that while having both Max and AscoGraph open, and working on AscoGraph alone will also change those attributes. For example, moving and resizing the AscoGraph window will automatically (via OSC) change Antescofo’s attributes in your patcher. That’s why you’d be asked if you want to SAVE your patch!
This is also documented in the new help file under [p AscoGraph]

PureData Users: You can control AscoGraph’s window parameters using regular messages. See [pd AscoGraph] in the help file. Since Pd doesn’t have attributes, you might want to use loadbang at startup if you wish to maintain the position of AscoGraph window in your patcher.

AscoGraph, for now, is only available for OSX users. However, it’s made so that Linux and Windows ports would be possible. Get in touch with us if you want to contribute to this open source project.
