Graphics bug on Linux Mint (Debian)

Hello! I come with a problem i had since forever but just now ocurred to me that i should probably report it. It’s a visual bug involving cables. Everytime I create a connection or drag the cable around, everything gets “scrubbed”, like a whiteboard. Tooltips are disabled.

Any idea what could be causing this or if it’s fixable? I got used to it, but it’s a nuissance.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I got the same issues in LM 21.2
Previously I experienced them also in other distros with various hardware.
I wish this issue could be addressed and hopefully solved

Dear All,

Yes sorry about that. I am aware of this bug. It is there since the linux portage and is not related to any distrib. It happens on all distribs. This happens particularly when there is a scrolled patch. Working on it.
In the not yet available om version 8, this is fixed, since it uses GTK3.
So not sure if it is a LW/GTK2 related issue or OM api’s problem in transient-drawing.

Will keep you posted.

Dear friends,

Here is a fast fix still to be tested .
If you can test it and report back whatever you find not working

tempfix1.lisp (1.7 KB)

(the file is to be put in the init folder inside OM)
Thank you in advance.

PS: By the way there is another ugly bug, concerning the miniviews refreshment issue.

Dear Karim,

I have just moved the file in the cxorrect location, at a first very preliminary test I can observe a general better graphical response. I am on Fedora 32, Gnome 3.36.9 and x11 (no Wayland, I prefer so).

Thank you, ciao
