graphical editors for modalys?

Hey,

I’m new to modalys. I’ve been using it Max so far, but was wondering if there were any graphical editors for it… not patchers, but editors in which you can actually see representations of the objects and where/how they are connected together, etc. From searches on the web, it looks like there may have been some projects like this over the years, but I couldn’t find where to download any of them (if they are even still supported). Does anyone have links to any such editors? I suspect I would be able to create instruments much faster with one.

Thanks!

Mark

To see a graphical representation of finite element object in modalys you can use medit by inria. At least I had this working a few years ago. I don’t if it’s still doing service…

medit in included in Modalisp and it’s a good thing but May be it would be interesting/useful to integrate it in the “mlys for max” context…

Hi Mark,

A graphical (and historical) approach of Modalys can be found in OpenMusic.
You can download OpenMusic for free and then use the Modalys OpenMusic component found in the regular Modalys distribution (/Applications/Modalys/Components/OpenMusic/).

That said, this is more for non real-time use.

Good luck,
Robert
