glissando/portamento playback in OM

Hi,

I have a sequence of notes in chord-seq and I want to make them slide linear in pitch from one pitch to the next, hence creating linear glissando/portamento melodic line.

I have tried to make it work by using midicontrol object and playing it along with the chord-seq in a maquette, but in vain. What types of midi events should I use? (I was trying with cc5-portamento time and cc65 portamento on/off, but in vain.)

So my questions are:
How can I obtain glissando-portamento melodic line from a sequence of notes?

Is there a simpler way to obtain glissando/portamento playback that would not have to use maquette?

MacBook Pro, macOS 10.7.4
OM 6.8
samplers:
UVI Workstation (lib.Ircam Solo Instruments)
Kontakt 5

Best regards!

Hallo again,

Since nobody answered my question, I pose the question again. I would like to know is glissando-portamento melodic line playback from a sequence of notes obtainable in OM.

To be more explicit, I was experimenting with cc5 portamento, cc65 portamento on/off and cc84 portamento control. My problem is that I am not sure what kind of input data should I send to Midicontrol.

Of course, there is also another approach in trying to use pitchband or pitchwheel message, but as my note-sequence oversees the interval range of +/- 12 semitones I was thinking it would be better to try with portamento controls. (Also, I can’t find the way how to send RPN “pitch bend sensitivity” from OM.)

Please, somebody who has more experience in working with midi and Midicontrol in OM, let me know your answers and/or suggestions!

Many greetings!

Aliser
