FTM objects "cannot be loaded due to system security policy"

Hello FTM enthusiasts, I am trying to help a collaborator run an old FTM-dependent patch. It works for me with Max 8.5.4 and FTM 2.8.1 on Mac OS 10.14.6 Mojave. However, when she tries the same Max and FTM versions on Mac OS Monterey she receives error messages for various FTM objects, e.g. “ftm.mess cannot be loaded due to system security policy”. I have seen a few potential solutions on discussion fora, but unfortunately I cannot test them on my OS. I wonder if anyone here has a reliable solution? Many thanks, Aaron

Hello Aaron,

  • 1 : open a terminal
  • 2 : copy/paste that : defaults write com.apple.LaunchServices LSQuarantine -bool NO
