I am searching for a software that can follow an interpretation of a sonata for violin and piano and sends MIDI or OSC triggers to Isadora where I cue light and video projections.
Can Antescofo follow an interpretation precise and send MIDI or OSC?
If yes how?

Hi Alex and welcome to Antescofo Forum!
You should be able to get what you want but not straight out of the box. You should first get hold of the Music Score of what you want to track/follow in real-time. If you have a MusicXML version of your score, then just drag-n-drop it into AscoGraph which is a standalone software that comes with both Max and PureData Antescofo packages. This will Convert the music score into the Antescofo Text Format and will allow you to embed actions inside it that will become the basis of your Isadora control.
And the good news for you is that OSC is already embedded in Antescofo. This means that you don’t need to learn Max! Just learn the Antescofo action syntax and you’ll be able to set it up so that it’d send through OSC to an external port (check the online manual on OSC).
Some users in this Forum have been successfully controlling / triggering SuperCollider, Jitter and CSound in this Forum. Let us know how it goes!

Thank you for your quick response. Everything sounds very good what you say. So my next step is to find, convert and polish a good XML file. So I was searching the internet and tried to import some files (MIDI) in Sibelius, just to have a look how they look like as a score. And of course the score looks terrible and has to be polished for Sibelius and sight reading. But I suppose that is not the criteria for Antescofo. So how “beautiful” should the XML be that Antescofo likes it? You maybe know libraries where I can look for (mostly violin solo and violin with piano). MIDI files you find a lot in the internet, but my question is if they are usable. As I saw, Sibelius 7.5 can export XML. I have also Cubase 8 PRO, which can handle this as well, I think so.
I had a quick look in Antescofo where to choose the audio input and didn´t find it. Is it just the input you choose in the Audio-Midi Setup, I am on Mac 10.11.6.

The hardest part is to get a clean score! Keep in mind that with MIDI you loose a lot of very important musical information such as Trills, Tremolos; and most importantly many MIDI files on the web are temporally corrupted meaning that notes in chords are for example non-aligned. This means that you need to clean them up in Sibelius or Finale! Once this is done, you export the score to MusicXML and the conversion will be automatic. See this manual page for the usual workflow.
Next, in reply to your audio input question: In Max (and PureData), you basically “program” the audio route. If you take a look at both Help patches you’ll see that there is an audio cord that comes into the Antescofo object. Where that audio cord comes from depends on you. Take a look at tutorials in Max and Pd on this. It’s pretty easy to choose/route any audio input to the program. Also: Once this is done, don’t forget to check calibration (in the beginning) – see this link.
